The agency process, start to finish

How We Work With Clients

Random One Digital runs projects from the first briefing through launch and ongoing optimization. Clear scope, tracking in place before spend starts, and reporting that connects campaigns to business results.

What you get before any spend

A written plan covering positioning, channel mix, budget allocation, creative direction, timeline and measurement — including the channels we are not recommending, and why.

A process built to remove guesswork

About the agency

Every project runs the same spine, whether it is a single paid search account or a full 360° campaign with outdoor, video and retail media behind it. The order matters more than the speed.

We start with what you already know about the business, then verify it against what the data actually shows. Only after that does a plan get written. If a stage reveals the project is not a fit, we say so before either side spends more time on it.

First contact, then the audit

First contact and briefing

It starts with a conversation. You describe the business, the problem, and what you have already tried. We ask about your customers, your geography, your sales process, and your budget range.

No proposal comes out of this stage. The point is to work out whether the project is a fit before either side invests more time — and whether the channels you have in mind are the ones that will actually move the number you care about.

Discovery and audit

Once there is a reason to go further, we look at what exists: analytics setup, ad accounts, website performance, current SEO position, brand materials, and any historical campaign data you can share.

This stage often surfaces problems that were not part of the original brief — broken tracking, a landing page that cannot convert, or a channel that has been quietly wasting budget for months. Finding those early is the whole reason the audit comes before the plan.

What the audit tends to find

  • Conversion events that fire on the wrong page, or not at all.
  • Ad accounts split across agencies with no shared naming or budget view.
  • Landing pages built for a campaign that ended two seasons ago.
  • Keyword sets ranking for traffic that never turns into a lead.

Tracking and measurement setup

Measurement works before campaigns launch

Conversion tracking, call tracking, offline conversion imports, and server-side tracking where the setup supports it. This is the least glamorous part of the process and the one most projects skip.

Skipping it means optimizing toward numbers that do not reflect your business — a costly mistake to discover three months in, when the budget has already been spent on the wrong signal.

What gets connected

  • Form and phone conversions from the website
  • Offline sales data matched back to campaigns
  • Server-side events where the stack allows it
  • One reporting view instead of six dashboards

Deeper on the numbers

Tracking and reporting questions are covered in more detail on the Performance & Measurement page.

Performance & Measurement

Plan, production, launch

The plan gets written before any spend happens. Production follows it. Launch is staged, not simultaneous, so the fastest signals arrive first.

Strategy and plan

Written so you can see what we propose and why

Positioning, channel mix, budget allocation, creative direction, timeline and measurement — including which channels we are not recommending. If the plan does not match your expectations, we revise it, or we part ways. Both are fine outcomes at this stage.

Creative production

Everything points at the same offer

Ad copy, landing pages, display assets, video and traditional media materials are produced to match the plan. For a 360° campaign, every piece uses the same visual and verbal language.

Timelines vary by scope. A paid search campaign can launch quickly. A full brand campaign with outdoor and video takes longer.

Campaign launch

Staged, so early signals arrive fast

Paid search and social often go live first, because they produce data fastest. Broader media follows once the initial signals look right. We monitor closely in the first weeks, since early performance tells you more about setup problems than later optimization does.

After launch, the work becomes continuous

Optimization cycle

Budget shifts between channels, underperforming keywords and audiences get cut, creative gets refreshed, and landing pages get tested. Decisions are based on the measurement setup, not on platform dashboards alone. If a channel is producing leads that never close, that shows up in the reporting and changes the plan.

Reporting and check-ins

Reporting runs on a regular cycle, built around business questions: what did a lead cost, which channel produced it, and where should budget move next. We also hold check-ins to discuss decisions rather than just present numbers — reports that nobody acts on are a waste of everyone's time.

When things change

Campaigns rarely run exactly as planned. Budgets shift, a channel underperforms, a competitor changes the market, or a product line gets discontinued mid-campaign. We rebuild the plan when that happens rather than running the original version into the ground — and the measurement setup is what makes that possible, because it shows what is actually happening.

What happens after the first campaign

Most relationships continue past the initial project. SEO keeps compounding, paid campaigns keep optimizing, and brand work feeds back into messaging across channels. Some clients move to a retainer structure, others run project-based work with clear start and end points. Both are workable, and we will recommend whichever fits your situation.

Where a 360° plan lands

Online, outdoor, and everything between

A kompleksowe usługi marketingowe brief can start in paid search and end on a street corner. We plan the mix together so the message is consistent across search, social, display, video, retail and out-of-home — not seven unrelated campaigns with the same logo.

Questions before the first briefing

A few things clients usually ask before they decide whether to send a brief.

How long does the process take before launch?

It depends on scope and on how quickly we get access to accounts and data. Briefing and audit are usually the fastest stages. Creative production is where timelines stretch, especially for video and outdoor. We give you a dated timeline in the plan before you approve anything.

Do we have to move our whole budget to one channel?

No. The plan sets a channel mix with a budget split, and we say plainly which channels we are not recommending for your situation. If you want to test one channel first before widening the plan, that is a normal way to start.

What do you need from us during onboarding?

Access to ad accounts and analytics, historical campaign data if it exists, brand materials, and a person on your side who can answer questions about the sales process. The more context we have at the audit stage, the less we have to assume later.

Can we start with one project instead of a retainer?

Yes. Project-based work with a clear start and end point is workable, and so is a retainer. We will recommend whichever fits your situation rather than pushing the longer commitment by default.
